Australia - Sydney (Dave)

 December 24th - 29th - Sydney

The next few days were a blur in Sydney. We had the great fortune to have one of Michelle's friends (who was also a really good architect) not be able to Air BnB their house for the holidays so they let us stay there while they were visiting family. They had a gorgeous newly renovated house and it was great to park the van and sleep in a real bed for a few days. We were also able to tag along with Stix and Michelle to their friends Malcom and Amber's home for a delicious Holiday dinner with some of their friends. We went for a rock scramble around the rocks around freshwater beach and went through the Manly Wormhole to get to Queenscliff beach on the other side.

The rest of the week we heading into the city to walkabout and see Darling Harbour and the Opera House. Loki and Davie wanted to check out some of the Anime shops around Chinatown which is a really cool area to visit.

We surfed almost everyday off Freshwater Beach and I realized how out of shape I was to surf everyday, but loved every minute of it. Met up with my old friend Libby and her husband Will on a scorching day at Collins Beach on North Head and it was great to connect with them for the day, catch up and have some ice cream from the boat vendor. Overall it was great to be back in Sydney again and I still think that if I was forced to choose to live in any other city in the World it would be here.
