Singapore [Davie's perspective]

DAY 1: After getting of the flight, we took a cab to our hotel where we immidiatly went to sleep because we were all so tired. The beds were very comfy. in the morning we had breakfast and then went to a place called gardens by the bay. These things that looked like pillars were so big! they had plants on them and there were about 10 of them, one of them there was even a veiwing deck!

the pillars
After looking at the big pillars, we went to this dome called the sky gardens where there was a huge waterfall and so many differernt types of plants! We learned about the plants and stuff and then took an elevator to the top, and there we took a walkway to look at the view from up top!

After leaving the sky gardens, we went into another dome area that had sooooooo many different plants, they looked so cool! They also had these dragon sculptures, those were also very intresting. I also reconized some plants that we have in Vancouver!

my favorite plant
After seeing all of those plants we went for dinner and i had fried rice, kebabs, chicken wings, and noodles. The food was so good! After eating we went to the light show! It was so cool! All of the pillars lit up! after the light show we took a cab home because we were so tired!

DAY 2: Today we woke up and had breakfast again, and then rented bikes at a place called city scoot. We biked out all through singapore. Halfway through, we ate lunch at a noodle restraunt that had a michelin star! The noodles were fantastic! After eating lunch, we biked back to the city scoot rental place. After that, we walked around a bit more and went to Chinatown, they had cool mirals and some cool shops. We bought some cake and some jelly. After that we ate some dinner at the hawker stalls. I had dumplings, noodles, tofu, greenbeans, and others things. The best thing that i tried was the dumplings, the skin was perfectly cooked and the meat in them was delicious! After eating dinner we took a train to a water show in the Singapore bay, where pictues were being displayed on the water, it was very impressive! We were all tired after that so we decided to head bavk to the hotel. I went to sleep immidiatly and so did Simone but my mom and dad stayed up booking things for Vietnam I think.

DAY 3 [half day]: Today was the day we were leaving Singapore, so after breakfast we packed up and went to the airport. On the way our grab driver told us about Singapore and how the govermet is worried Singapore is going to run out of water because right now they have a treedee signed with Malasia and they provide water for them but the treedee is about to end with only 40 years left. we also learned that Singapore is expanding there space by pileing dirt in the waterfront to make more room. After we got to the airport, we caught our flight to Cambodia. Singapore was an intresting country ans i hope to visit it again!
