Ho Chi Minh (Davie)

We arrived in Ho Chi Minh after flying from Siem Reap Cambodia. The national flower of Vietnam is the lotus flower and it inspired the building where the skydeck is on. A few of my friends are also from Vietnam, like Vivian, and Hunter. Ho Chi Minh was named after the president in the 1900s.

I could tell that Vietnam was a more developed then Cambodia. As we drove through the streets, I could see as if there were thousands of motorcycles or mopeds on the streets, and even on the sidewalk. Most of them were wearing helmets, as in Cambodia most people were not. There were also no tuk tuks here unlike Cambodia.

When we arrived at our hotel, we put our bags down in our room and then went to go have dinner. For dinner we had Churches chicken. I had 3 friend spicy chicken legs, coleslaw, biscuits, hot chips, and sprite :]. Then we went to a best buy type store where we found out that phones are cheaper here too! But we didn't get anything. After looking at phones, we went to Miniso where I bought a battery for long days like playing Pokemon Go in Japan.

Then we walked to the biggest market in town. The market we very big but we did not get anything because it was too expensive (as in 7 dollars for a t-shirt). I almost got A pair of fake dunks but I realized that Winston and Harry would kill me if I got them. Then we went to this restaurant where I got a mango smoothie and my mom got spring rolls and they were hard as a rock. And they tasted so bad :[ . After eating a late night snack, we went back to the hotel and watched die hard 3. It was really good.

The next day we ate breakfast. I had tang, egg, fries, and watermelon. We did some school work after breakfast in the hotel. then went to a market. We didn't get anything though. After the market, we went to the old french building where I bought a Vietnam pin. The French brought coffee here a long time ago so now Vietnam has amazing coffee. We also got mango at a food stall. It was pretty good, but was not really ripe yet.

Then we went to a mall where I bought some stationary things like pencils and an eraser. After exploring the mall a little bit more, we went to a pho place for dinner. That was REALLY good. It even had a Michelin recommended badge! Then we went to the skydeck where we looked at the whole view of Ho Chi Minh city! There were alot of tourists there. We were on the 49th floor but it goes up to 54 floors! It is also 264 metres tall! To comparison, the world's tallest building is 828 metres tall.

Then we went to a walking street and got some boba. There were so many night clubs and so many people! Then I played Fortnite back at the hotel and full boxed a kid and 1 pumped him like bro get better. Then we went to sleep.

The next morning we did some school work and then ate breakfast. I had the same thing as yesterday but I also got noodles :) . Then we had to leave sadly. Our driver picked us up and then we drove to another place in Vietnam just 2 hours away where the beach is so I hope the next place is fun! Btw I also hit 500 moons in super mario Odyssey while we were driving so yeah im him. Ho Chi Minh was a BIG city, witch made it interesting overall. It also had good food, nice people, cheap prices, and nice buildings!
