Japan: All The Amazing Places We Went To BY: Davie

This was my first time being in Japan and I was waiting to come to this country for a long time since Im half Japanese. In Japan we went to 13 places in total , all of them being so cool in there different ways. My obachama and ojichama (my japanese grandparents) came with us all along Japan, showing us all over the country.

THE TOP 7 PLACES I WENT TO IN JAPAN:

7. Aso Minami

In Aso we stayed in a ryokan, where we ate nice dinners and walked around in our yukata, witch looked like a kimono. In a ryokan, you would go into an onsen, where you are naked and go into a hot spring wit a bunch of other people your gender, it was awkward at first, but other people were totally normal, and by the end of the stay, I was used to it. Overall, the experience was fun and im looking forward to doing it again!

6. hiroshima

Hiroshima is known for its history in ww2 when it got nuked. But it was really intresting to learn about the history about it. We went to the museum about it and I found it pretty intresting, over 100,000 people died in the bombing and there were little surivors, but now Hiroshima is a nice city and is really fun for shopping!

5. Kyoto

Kyoto is a historical town but also has a modern side. On the first day we did a big tour around the city and saw a full gold temple, a bamboo forest, and very pretty Japanese gardens! On the second day we went shopping and went to this dog cafe, where we got to play with little puppys! Kyoto was a very nice city if you want to see and learn about the history of Japan, and its pretty good for shopping!

4 .Kamakura

Kamakura is where my Japanese family is from, its about a 1 hour train ride from Tokyo, but a very small surfing town with only about 175,000 living there. I got to meet my cousins and family members for the first time, and it turns out I had so many aunts and uncles! They gave us so many gifts, like candy, clothing, and money! There is also a very big Buddha statue there called the daibutsu, and an amazing shinto temple. On the last day of our stay there, we dressed up in traditional kimonos and walked around Kamakura! I looked so good!!

3. Mount Fuji

Here we stayed on a lake around mount fuji, and it was very pretty, there was also sakura cherry blossem trees everywhere which was pretty too! On the first day we went to this theme park where we rode some awesome rides, my favorite ride was the naruto ride where you shoot things. On the second day, we went for a hike in the mountains with a nice view of Mount Fuji, but we did not get to climb mount fuji, because it takes a long time, but maybe next time I will!

2. Osaka

Osaka had to be my number 2 favorute place in japan because it had so many cool anime and pokemon shops, and most of the time we just walked around and shopped. So it was not that intrestin but I loved walking around. We also tried some awesome sushi in a convayer belt sush restraunt and hard suger covered fruits! Its an awesome place in general to shop and for food!

1. Tokyo

We stayed in tokyo for 9 days, and everyday being insanely busy. We met up with my cousin Loki on the second day, and made the experience so fun! I loved shopping with him, since there were countless amounts of shops like Pokmeon, One Piece, and other things! My favorite place in tokyo is shibuya where there are SO MANY people, witch I love. And my second favorite place in tokyo being Akihabara, the electronic and anime city. It was so fun looking at all the devices and anime figureines all day! Especially because me AND my cousin were both looking for new phones. By the end of Tokyo, I got an iphone SE and my cousin got an phone XS. To be honest, I would definetly want to live here when im older, because the culture in so cool. Overall, this is probely the most cool city I have ever been too in my life, and im so excited for the next time I come here!

-711 in Japan: The 711s here were INSANELY AWESOME, and had awesome things that we dont have in Canada, like smoothies, onigiri, udon, ramen, and a bunch of delicious breakfast pastries! In Canada, we think of 711 as junk food, but here there are no unhealthy chips, no candy, and no slurpees! The food at 711 there is also so well made and very fresh!
