The Turkish Republic of Cyprus BY: Davie

After staying in the dead sea in Jordan, he took a short plane to Cyprus, a country in the Medeterranian Sea, making it my first country in Europe that I have visited in my life! This week we planned to stay with some of my parents friends in a small village 2 hours away from the airport.

When we arived, their two kids named Saffet and William were very excied to see us, since there are not that many kids in the village. They showed us around there farm and their house. On their farmland, they grew oranges, lemons, starwberrys, almonds, and pommegranate. Since it was late at night because of our long car ride, we had to go to sleep.

Day 1: The next day, William showed me all of his nintendo games, like luigi's mansion, Zelda, Pokemon Arceus, Mlinecreaft, and tons of other games he played on his nintendo, this is what William and Saphet looked like:

We played monopoly together and picked fruit on the farm that day, but also mostly chilled out because this weeks purpose was not only to hang out with some friends, but to also have a break from Jordan, Uzbekistan, and Japan. In those countrys, it felt like we were always traveling, so it was nice to stay in one place for a long time.

Day 2: The second day we went to the beach and played in the water, but before that, we took it easy and chilled out again. Simone and Saffet even made cookies and cupcakes, William played his nintendo and I called a friend. The water was cold at the beach, but it was refreshing because it was hot out that day.

The third day of our stay here we took a 1 hour car ride into town where we shopped and walked around. Since Cyprus is divided into 2 countrys, Turkey and Greece, we went onto the greek side to shop too! I bought this plain beige t-shirt from a clothing store and some swim shorts too! For lunch we had some kebab and salad, witch was really tasty. When we got home, I looked up things to do in Budapest which is the city we are seeing my friends Evan and Ben. This is what the town looked like where we shopped at.

The forth day was our last day staying with the kids because they had school, and their last day was going to be te day before but their grandma died so they stayed 1 more day for the funeral. On this day, we woke up early to take a car to their beach house across the country. It was about a 2 hour drive, and when we got there, we played at the beach. We swam, we jumped on rocks, and we even caught crabs, and 1 crab was HUGE, literlly the size of a small pillow, even big enough to eat it! After swimming, we had pasta and salad for dinner. Then we built lego and then took a car ride back, but only our family because they stay at that place during the schol days, but it was not a final goodbye because we are going to see them on Friday at the airport, and they are also planning to come to Canada next summer in 2025!

Now on these last two days, we plan to just chill out and relax.
